Do you want to turn off WordPress’s blog features? Some of you may be creating websites that don’t include blogs or any other blogging-related features. We’ll show you how to disable blog features in WordPress without writing any code in this article.

Why is it necessary to disable blog features in WordPress?

WordPress is the best platform to use if you want to start a blog. WordPress is used by many well-known big-name brands for all types of websites, including blogs.

Some websites, on the other hand, do not require a blog. WordPress is capable of creating websites without the use of any blogging features.

However, the admin area will still show the remaining blogging features such as posts, comments, categories, and tags.

If you’re building a website for a client who has never used WordPress before, this might be a bit confusing.

The good news is that you can turn WordPress into a non-blogging CMS platform by turning off all of the blogging features.

In WordPress, you can disable blog features.

The Disable Blogging in WordPress plugin must first be installed and activated. View our step-by-step guide to installing a WordPress plugin for further information.

To configure plugin settings, go to Settings » Blogging after activating the plugin.

When you get to the settings page for the plugin, you’ll notice that blogging features like posts and comments have vanished from your WordPress admin bar.

This plugin disables all WordPress blogging features by default, including posts, categories and tags, comments, author pages, RSS feeds, pingbacks and trackbacks, and a slew of other non-essential features.

You can turn features on and off selectively on the settings page. There are several tabs on the settings page.

You can enable or disable posts, comments, author pages, RSS feeds, pingbacks, and trackbacks on the general tab.

After that, you can go to the extra tab. Admin greetings, emoji support, screen options, help tabs, and admin footer text can all be changed here.

The profile tab in WordPress allows you to clean up the user account profile area. You can show and hide items on a user’s profile that they can change.

The last tab is Menu, which allows you to customize the appearance of the WordPress admin menu.

When your users click on the Dashboard, you can direct them to a specific location within the admin area. You can change the appearance of icons and separators, as well as move the Pages menu to the top.

Do not forget to save your changes by clicking the Save Changes button.

If you haven’t already done so, go to Settings » Reading page to choose a page to serve as your static front page.

Please keep in mind that this plugin does not remove anything from your WordPress site. It merely conceals them. When you deactivate the plugin, any posts and comments you had will become available again.
